3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE SALE OF LAND TO THE
4 ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF
5 RIGHT-OF-WAY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock is the owner of certain property partly described as Part of the
8 Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 20, Township 2 North, Range 13 West, Pulaski
9 County, Arkansas being acquired by the Arkansas State Highway Commission ("Commission") as Job
10 061382 Tract 97; and,
11 WHEREAS,The Arkansas State Highway Commission needs to acquire this property as right-of-way,
12 as part of the Cantrell Road Improvement Project,from Taylor Loop Road to Pleasant Ridge Drive.
13 WHEREAS,it has been determined that the value of said property being acquired by the Commission
14 is valued at four thousand one hundred ninety-seven dollars($4,197.00);and,
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. .The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any necessary documents,in a form acceptable
18 to the City Attorney, to sell the property to the Arkansas State Highway Commission, more particularly
19 described as:
20 LEGAL DESCRIPTION
21 Part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 20,Township 2 North,Range
22 13 West,Pulaski County,Arkansas more particularly described as follows:
23 Commencing at a 1/2 inch rebar found at the Quarter Corner of Sections 17 and 20,Township 2
24 North,Range 13 West; thence South 1°56'44" West along the West line of said Northwest Quarter
25 of the Northeast Quarter a distance of 754.57 feet to the Northerly right of way line of Arkansas State
26 Highway 10(Cantrell Road)as established by ARDOT Job 061382 and the POINT OF BEGINNING;
27 thence South 28°15'06" East along said right of way line a distance of 83.63 feet to a point on the
28 Northerly right of way line of Arkansas State Highway 10(Cantrell Road) as established by AHTD
29 Job 60290; thence North 59°31'54" West along said right of way line a distance of 30.07 feet to a
30 point; thence North 61°35'17"West along said right of way line a distance of 17.48 feet to a point on
31 the West line of said Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter;thence North 1°56'43"East along
32 said West line a distance of 50.14 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 0.02 acres
33 (1,045 sq.ft.)more or less as shown on ARDOT plans referenced as Job 061382.
34 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
35 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or

1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
3 resolution.
4 Section 3.Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
5 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
