Home My WebLink About16443 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,443 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH BRADFORD CONTRUCTION TO RENO- 5 VATE THE WEST CENTRAL BALLFIELD IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EX- 6 CEED ONE MILLION FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,040,000.00) 7 FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE LARGEST BALLFIELD AT WEST 8 CENTRAL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Parks & Recreation Department requests a contract with Bradford Construction to 11 renovate the ballfield at West Central;and, 12 WHEREAS,the West Central Ballfield Complex has years of deferred maintenance; and, 13 WHEREAS,the project will focus on a complete renovation of the largest field which neighborhood 14 residents have requested for many years;and, 15 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid Event No. 2599-4, Bradford Construction was the lowest most respon- 16 sive,responsible bidder meeting the requested bid requirements of the three(3)bids received; and, 17 WHEREAS,the total cost of the renovation project will not exceed One Million Forty Thousand Dol- 18 lars($1,040,000.00)plus applicable fees and taxes;and, 19 WHEREAS, funds are allocated with American Rescue Plan Act Funds, TREA WEST CENTRAL, 20 Account No. 271459-G0601AR45C in the amount of Seven Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars 21 ($780,000.00), WCSC SPONSORSHIP,Account No.210459-S45B674 in the amount of Sixty Six Thou- 22 sand Dollars ($66,000.00), and WEST CENTRAL EXPANSION, Account No. 325459-F451005, in the 23 amount of One Hundred Ninety Four Thousand Dollars($194,000.00);and, 24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 26 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a construction agreement with Bradford Con- 27 struction in an amount not to exceed One Million Forty Thousand Dollars($1,040,000.00)plus applicable 28 fees and taxes for the complete renovation of the largest field at the West Central Ballfield Complex. 29 Section 2. The Project will be funded with American Rescue Plan Act Funds, TREA WEST CEN- 30 TRAL, Account No. 271459-G0601AR45C in the amount of Seven Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars 31 ($780,000.00), WCSC SPONSORSHIP,Account No.210459-S45B674 in the amount of Sixty Six Thou- 32 sand Dollars ($66,000.00), and WEST CENTRAL EXPANSION, Account No. 325459-F451005, in the 33 amount of One Hundred Ninety Four Thousand Dollars($194,000.00). In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 2 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju- 3 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect 4 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the reso- 5 lution. 6 Section 4. Repealer.
