3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT NOT TO EXCEED SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY
5 THOUSAND DOLLARS (750,000.00) WITH SASAKI ASSOCIATES, INC.,
6 TO DEVELOP A MASTERPLAN FOR THE DOWNTOWN I-30 CROSSING
7 PARK;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock,Arkansas ("the City")recently completed a Downtown
10 Masterplan which identified a 15-acre open space as new parkland with emphasis as a Downtown
11 Central Park; and,
12 WHEREAS,after a competitive process pursuant to Bid No. 2569,for which there were three
13 applicants, it was determined that the Sasaki Associates,Inc.,was the successful bidder; and,
14 WHEREAS, a contract not to exceed seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars($750,000.00)
15 has been agreed upon to develop such a plan,
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
17 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Sasaki Associates,Inc., in an
19 amount not to exceed seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars($750,000.00)to create a master plan for a
20 Downtown Central Park sometimes referred to as the I-30 Crossing Park.
21 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available in American Rescue Plan Account No. 271459
22 G0601AR45M 63390.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju-
25 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and effect
26 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the reso-
27 lution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
