HomeMy WebLinkAboutCover Letter 042424Little Rock Planning Commission 723 West Markham Little Rock, Arkansas 72201 Attn: Debra Stafford Development Specialist Planning March 27, 2024 Re: Application for Private Family Cemetery Ms. Stafford, I am applying for a conditional use permit for a quarter of an acre to be used as a private family cemetery. The land to be used for this is within a 40 acre tract and more than 200 feet from any other landowners. There are no right of ways, no subdivisions, and according to the County Circuit Clerk's office, no bill of assurance for this acreage as there are no "lots or plots", to use their terminology. I have owned this property for many years. The individual grave plots will be 4 by 9 feet with at least four feet between each. In August of 2023,1 completed all the requirements of the Department of Health and submitted my application to them with a $50 fee. Their approval and recommendation report was then sent to Judge Hyde for his approval at which time I was notified that the proposed site fell within the city's jurisdiction and required a special use permit. Attached are 2 copies of the survey and legal description of the proposed cemetery, a letter and drawing from Lenders Title Company, the completed application and a check in the amount of $180.
