HomeMy WebLinkAboutResponse to Comments 050624May 4, 2024 Debra Stafford dstafford@little rock.gov Debra, Thank you for sending me the information about the Commission meeting in June and the requests for more information from me regarding the private cemetery application. 1) The Development Staff Comments request a document showing the State Department of Health’s approval of the cemetery. A letter from the Department, which includes this approval, was sent December 27, 2023 to Judge Barry Hyde, who according to the Dept. of Health, has not responded. Attached is a photo copy of that approval letter from the ADH. 2) The letter to you from Jim Cranor requests proof of compliance with the ADH for establishing a survey as well as the Judge’s sign off on the cemetery. With the exception of the Judge’s sign off, the survey was submitted to the ADH along with the application and, as stated by the above mentioned letter from the ADH, has been approved. The other issue from Mr. Cranor’s letter states that the application is located within a platted subdivision. The address of 600 Jabo Lake Road which was used in the application, consists of 4, 20 acre tracts and also a 40 acre tract on which the cemetery will be located. The 40 acres is not part of any subdivision. The address covers all this adjoining acreage and is a private, family property. 3) The Comments From Other Departments specifies a road grade of 10 percent or less, and our proposed road to the cemetery will be in compliance. The proposed road has been surveyed and marked, but no bulldozer work has been scheduled, pending cemetery approval. I hope this addresses all the concerns. Do I need to be present at the June 13th hearing? Thank you, Anne Marsh 501-607-3133
