Dear Members of the Commission:
This firm is counsel for Stauffer Chemical Company, which
conducts mining and manufacturing operations in the vicinity of
the captioned proposed addition. We would like for the
Commission to know and for it to be reflected in the record of
the Commission that Stauffer Chemical Company does not oppose
the granting of the subdivision application, but does want it
to be made clear that Stauffer intends to continue to conduct
the operations of its business in that vicinity in any manner
consistent with its business, zoning regulations and applicable
laws and statutes. Some of these may or may not be consistent
with a residential subdivision, but Stauffer has conducted
these operations for many years in that area and plans to
continue to do so for many future years.
I had attended three previous Commission meeting with the
hope of making this statement in an open meeting, but as this
matter continues to be deferred, I hope to make this part of
the record of the vehicle of this letter.
Thank you for the opportunity to express the views of our
client.
