Home My WebLink About16424 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,424 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A PROFESSINAL ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT 5 WITH GARNAT ENGINEERING, LLC, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO 6 EXCEED ONE HUNDRED SIXTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS 7 ($116,000.00), FOR THE DESIGN OF NORTH VAN BUREN, 8 HAWTHORNE, AND COUNTRY CLUB DRAINAGE; AND FOR OTHER 9 PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, bids were solicited for the design of North Van Buren, Hawthorne, and Country Club 12 Drainage,Bid No.2306;and, 13 WHEREAS, Garnat Engineering, LLC, submitted the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting 14 specifications of the thirty-five(35)bids received for the project;and, 15 WHEREAS,the total cost of the project shall not exceed One Hundred Sixteen Dollars($116,000.00), 16 which includes a 20%contingency. 17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement with Garnat 20 Engineering,LLC,in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Sixteen Dollars($116,000.00),which includes 21 a 20%contingency,for the Design on North Van Buren,Hawthorne,and Country Club Drainage. 22 Section 2. 3/8 Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating Use Tax Funds and the 2018 Capital 23 Improvement Bonds as authorized by Resolution 14,803(June 19,2018)with funds available from Account 24 No.TS3B141. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
