3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH ARKANSAS PUBLIC SAFETY
5 SOLUTIONS AND MOTOROLA AVIGILON IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
6 EXCEED TWO HUNDRED NINETY-TWO THOUSAND SEVEN
7 HUNDRED TEN AND 05/100 DOLLARS ($292,710.05), PLUS
8 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A
9 VIDEO SECURITY SYSTEM AT THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO; AND FOR
10 OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Zoo("Zoo")is in need of video security system;and,
13 WHEREAS,the Zoo seeks approval to enter into a contract with Arkansas Public Safety Solutions and
14 Motorola Avigilon utilizing the TIPS Cooperative Contract 220605;and,
15 WHEREAS, the total amount of the purchase is not to exceed Two Hundred Ninety-Two Thousand
16 Seven Hundred Ten and 05/100 Dollars($292,710.05),plus applicable taxes and fees; and,
17 WHEREAS, funds are available from the Zoo FEMA Match Security Camera fund in the amount of
18 One Hundred Forty-Two Thousand Seven Hundred Ten and 05/100 Dollars ($142,710.05) and from the
19 State Homeland Security Grant Program in the amount of One Hundred Fifty Thousand and No/100 Dollars
20 ($150,000.00)Account No. 108659 S65G060 and,
21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Arkansas Public Safety
24 Solutions and Motorola Avigilon utilizing the TIPS Cooperative Contract 220605 in an amount not to
25 exceed Two Hundred Ninety-Two Thousand Seven Hundred Ten and 05/100 Dollars($292,710.05),plus
26 applicable taxes and fees for the purchase and installation of a video security system for the Little Rock
27 Zoo.
28 Section 2. Funds for this expenditure are available in the Zoo FEMA Match Security Camera fund in
29 the amount of One Hundred Forty-Two Thousand Seven Hundred Ten and 05/100 Dollars ($142,710.05)
30 and from the State Homeland Security Grant Program in the amount of One Hundred Fifty Thousand and
31 No/100 Dollars($150,000.00)Account No. 108659 S65G060.
32 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
33 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
34 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
35 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the

1 resolution.
2 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
3 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
