3 A RESOLUTION TO IDENTIFY PROJECTS IN THE JOHN BARROW
4 ROAD CORRIDOR FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS FUNDED FROM THE
5 TARGETED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM; AND FOR
6 OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS,Little Rock,Arkansas Resolution No.15,382 (January 19, 2021),provided support for a
9 Targeted Community Development Initiative to address a lack of development in and around the South
10 End of Ward 1, the 12th Street Corridor, Portions of Southwest Little Rock in Ward 2, in and around the
11 John Barrow Corridor in Ward 6, and portions of Southwest Little Rock in Ward 7 of the City of Little
12 Rock; and,
13 WHEREAS, it is desirable to fund the identified projects in the John Barrow Road Corridor from
14 identified Targeted Community Development Funds.
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board of Directors intends to accomplish the following list of Street, Drainage,
18 Sidewalk and Street Lighting Projects in the John Barrow Road Corridor in Ward 6 in an amount of Eight
19 Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($850,000.00), plus a 20% contingency, not to exceed One Million,
20 Twenty Thousand Dollars($1,020,000.00):
21 a) Boyd Street,from 43'Street to 44th Street
22 b) 44th Street,from Foster to Weldon Avenue
23 c) 36th Street Sidewalk,from Col Glenn Road to Boyle Park Road.
24 d) John Barrow Road Corridor Area Street Lighting.
25 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 3.Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
