HomeMy WebLinkAbout22491 1 ORDINANCE NO. 22,491 2 3 AN ORDINANACE TO DECLARE IT IMPRACTICAL AND UNFEASIBLE 4 TO BID; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A 5 SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT WITH GREYSTON PARTNERS, INC., IN 6 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, FOUR 7 HUNDRED TEN DOLLARS (S37,410.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES 8 AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF HELMETS FOR THE LITTLE 9 ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT SPECIAL OPERATIONS DIVISION; TO 10 DECLARE AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Police Department(LRPD)has a need to purchase Helmets from Greyston 13 Partners, Inc., for the Special Operations Division; and, 14 WHEREAS, the Helmets are essential for Department operations and are equipped with visors and 15 communication devices;and, 16 WHEREAS,the equipment is to be procured through Invisio Communications, the designated dealer 17 of record for Greyston Services and Products; and, 18 WHEREAS,due to the unique vendor relationship through the dealer of record status, the cost for the 19 Helmets is 20% lower than any other vendor and the amount shall not exceed Thirty-Seven Thousand,Four 20 Hundred Ten Dollars($37,410.00), plus applicable fees and taxes. 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS. 23 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to enter into a sole-source contract with 24 Greyston Partners, Inc., in an amount not to exceed Thirty-Seven Thousand, Four Hundred Ten Dollars 25 ($37,410.00), plus applicable fees and taxes, to purchase Helmets through Invisio Communications, the 26 designated dealer of record for Greystone Services and Products. 27 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available through the Police Equipment Special Project Fund, 28 Account no. 210529-S00B312. 29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 30 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance, which shall remain in full force and 32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 33 ordinance. !Page I of 21 1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with 2 the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 3 Section 6. Emergency Clause.
