HomeMy WebLinkAbout16396 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,396 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH BILL'S FENCE COMPANY, INC., IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED THIRTY-FOUR 6 THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($234,600.00), PLUS 7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, TO INSTALL FENCING AT THE 8 LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT NORTHWEST AND 9 SOUTHWEST STATIONS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas (City), needs to secure the Little Rock Police 12 Department's("LRPD")Northwest and Southwest Stations;and, 13 WHEREAS, the City wishes to install the fencing to act as a safety mechanism for personnel, both 14 sworn and non-sworn,and the property at both locations;and, 15 WHEREAS, vendor selection was made through the TIPS Contract Cooperative Purchasing 16 Program,Contract No. 23010402;and, 17 WHEREAS, the cost for the contract shall not exceed Two Hundred Thirty-Four Thousand, Six 18 Hundred Dollars($234,600.00), plus applicable taxes and fees. 19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Bill's 22 Fence Company,Inc., in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thirty-Four Thousand, Six Hundred and 23 Dollars ($234,600.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, to install fences at LRPD's Northwest and 24 Southwest Stations. 25 Section 2. Funds are allocated from the LRPD Police Fencing Special Project, Account No. 108529- 26 S52C520. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any portion of this Resolution is declared or adjudged to be 28 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this 29 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or 30 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this Resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
