Home My WebLink About16391 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,391 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH CARSON AND ASSOCIATES, INC., IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION, SIX HUNDRED FORTY- 6 SEVEN THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,647,600.00), FOR 7 THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE LANDFILL TRUCK WASH; AND FOR 8 OTHER PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS,bids were solicited for the construction of the Landfill Truck Wash,Bid No. 2525;and, 11 WHEREAS, Carson and Associates, Inc., submitted the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting 12 specifications of the three(3)bids received for the project;and, 13 WHEREAS, the total cost of the project shall not exceed One Million, Six Hundred Forty-Seven 14 Thousand, Six Hundred Dollars($1,647,600.00),which includes a 20%contingency. 15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Carson 18 and Associates, Inc., in an amount not to exceed One Million, Six Hundred Forty-Seven Thousand, Six 19 Hundred Dollars($1,647,600.00), which includes a 20% contingency, for the construction of the Landfill 20 Truck Wash. 21 Section 2. Funding for this project is allocated in the Public Works Solid Waste Enterprise Fund and 22 Fleet,Account No. S60A721. 23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and 26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 27 resolution. 28 Section 4. Repealer.
