CONTRACTOR TO POINT OUT ANY DISCREPANCIES TO THE THE OWNERS REP. PRIOR TO BID. 2. BEFORE COMMENCING ANY ACTIVITY UNDER OR PERTAINING TO THIS CONTRACT, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL: (1) OBTAIN ALL BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION PERMITS AS REQUIRED BY PERTINENT REGULATORY AND GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES. (2) CONTACT THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION OFFICE. (3) CONTACT UNDERGROUND UTILITIES LOCATING SERVICE. (4) NOTIFY UTILITY COMPANIES MAINTAINING UTILITY LINES OR EASEMENTS WITHIN THE LIMITS OF CONSTRUCTION, OR IN PUBLIC RIGHTS -OF -WAY ADJACENT TO THE PROJECT. (5) BECOME KNOWLEDGEABLE OF EXISTING UTILITIES AND PROTECT SAME WHERE NECESSARY. THIS SHALL INCLUDE UTILITIES SHOWN AND NOT SHOWN ON THE PLANS. 3. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE ALL EQUIPMENT AND PERSONNEL REQUIRED FOR FINAL CHECKOUT OF ALL FACILITIES BY OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE. 4. ENTIRE INSTALLATION SHALL MEET ALL APPLICABLE CODES. 5. VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS AND CONDITIONS ON SITE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ACCURATELY LOCATE AND MARK CONSTRUCTION LIMITS AND PROPERTY LINES, AND SHALL LIMIT ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES TO WHICHEVER APPLICABLE. 6. ALL FILL IN OLD TANK AREAS, OLD BASEMENTS, CESSPOOLS, OTHER EXCAVATIONS AND INSIDE BUILDING TO BE PEA GRAVEL OR APPROVED EQUAL. 7. FINAL GRADES ARE SUBJECT TO MINOR CHANGE BY COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE. NO GRADE CHANGES IN EXCESS OF 0.05' WITHOUT COMPANY APPROVAL. DISTURBED AREAS SHALL BE GRADED TO DRAIN AS INDICATED ON THE PLANS DURING AND UPON COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION. NO DRAINAGE SHALL BE DAMMED OR TRAPPED UNLESS SPECIFICALLY DIRECTED BY THE PLANS. 8. ANY FILL MATERIAL REQUIRED TO BRING THE SITE TO GRADE SHALL BE CLEAN FILL DIRT APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER AND SHALL BE PLACED IN 8" LAYERS COMPACTED TO 95% OF THE MAXIMUM STANDARD PROCTOR DENSITY AT OPTIMUM MOISTURE CONTENT. 9. SET PROPERTY CORNER PINS IN CONCRETE. IF PROPERTY CORNERS ARE DESTROYED BY CONTRACTOR, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BEAR THE EXPENSE OF RELOCATING CORNERS BY A REGISTERED SURVEYOR. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROTECTION OF ALL PROPERTY CORNERS AND REPLACE ALL PINS ELIMINATED OR DAMAGED DURING CONSTRUCTION. REFERENCE ARCHITECT'S PLANS FOR BUILDING DIMENSIONS, TRUCK DOCKS, SIDEWALKS, DUMPSTER PADS, STEPS, TRANSFORMER PADS, ETC. 10. FREESTANDING CANOPY FURNISHED AND INSTALLED BY CANOPY CONTRACTOR UNDER SEPARATE CONTRACT ON FOOTINGS FURNISHED AND INSTALLED BY GENERAL CONTRACTOR. 11. ALL UTILITY CONNECTIONS, FOOTINGS, FOUNDATIONS AND SPECIFIED EXTERIOR FINISHES BY G.C. 12. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL RECEIVE, UNLOAD, STORE AND UNCRATE ALL EQUIPMENT FURNISHED BY THE OWNER AND SHIPPED TO THE SITE. SEE SPECIFICATIONS FOR EQUIPMENT FURNISHED BY OWNER. 13. GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO REFER TO STANDARD DETAILS INCLUDED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR INSTALLING EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING PRODUCT DISPENSERS AND REMOTE READ-OUT EQUIPMENT. 14. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MARK AND PROTECT ALL TREES AND VEGETATION INDICATED TO REMAIN, AND PREVENT PARKING, STORING OF MATERIALS, AND ENTRY OF VEHICLES AND CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT WITHIN THE DRIP LINES OF THE TREES TO BE SAVED. 15. GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE BARRICADE PROTECTION WITH FLASHING LIGHTS AROUND ALL CANOPY COLUMN FOOTINGS, TANK EXCAVATIONS AND ALL OFFSITE WORK. TANK EXCAVATIONS LEFT OPEN OVERNIGHT MUST BE PROTECTED BY A MINIMUM 6' HIGH CHAIN LINK FENCE APPROVED BY THE COMPANY. OTHER METHODS OF SECURITY WILL BE ENTERTAINED BUT MUST BE APPROVED BY THE COMPANY. 16. GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO PERFORM GENERAL YARD AND BUILDING CLEAN-UP AT COMPLETION OF WORK. 17. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MINIMIZING DEPOSITION OF ONSITE SEDIMENTS ONTO SURROUNDING PUBLIC STREETS DURING CONSTRUCTION. 18. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE TRAFFIC CONTROL PLAN WHICH SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO AND APPROVED 41GRK IN THE R n p 1U Q0 h1TPArTno Al K'n T`AC cUAi H DISRUPTION TO TRAFFIC FLOW ADJACENT PUBLIC RIGHTS -OF -WAY WITHOUT SECURING THE PROPER PERMITS PRIOR TO COMMENCING OPERATIONS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ERECT THE PROPER TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES ACCORDING TO THE LATEST EDITION OF THE "MANUAL ON UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES", AND SHALL PROTECT THE PUBLIC FROM HAZARD OR INJURY BY ERECTING BARRICADES WHERE APPROPRIATE, I.E., AROUND EXCAVATIONS OR OPERATING EQUIPMENT. 19. ALL UTILITY LOCATIONS SHOWN ARE BASED ON MAPS PROVIDED BY THE APPROPRIATE UTILITY COMPANY AND FIELD SURFACE EVIDENCE AT THE TIME OF SURVEY AND IS TO BE CONSIDERED AN APPROXIMATE LOCATION ONLY. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO FIELD VERIFY THE FIELD LOCATION OF ALL UTILITIES, PUBLIC OR PRIVATE, WHETHER SHOWN ON THE PLANS OR NOT, PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. WHERE A PROPOSED UTILITY CROSSES AN EXISTING UTILITY, IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO FIELD VERIFY THE HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL LOCATION OF SUCH EXISTING UTILITY, EITHER THROUGH POTHOLING OR ALTERNATE METHOD. REPORT INFORMATION TO THE ENGINEER PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. 21. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ASSUME ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE TO EXISTING PUBLIC OR PRIVATE UTILITIES AND SHALL REPAIR, REPLACE, OR RELOCATE SAME AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER. 22. ANY EQUIPMENT UTILIZING ELECTRICAL RECEPTACLES SHALL COMPLY WITH NEC (LATEST EDITION). 23. ANY FENCING, SIDEWALK, CURB AND GUTTER, LANDSCAPE AREAS OR CURB CUT DAMAGED BY CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE REPLACED AND RESTORED TO ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER. 24. FIELD STAKING TO BE PROVIDED BY THE CONTRACTOR. 25. ALL DIMENSIONS SHOWN TO BUILDING ARE TO OUTSIDE FACE OF BUILDING. ALL DIMENSIONS SHOW TO CURB ARE TO FACE OF CURB. ALL DIMENSIONS SHOWN TO PAINT STRIPES ARE TO CENTERLINE AND END OF PAINT STRIPE. 26. CONTRACTOR SHALL REFER TO ARCHITECT'S PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR ACTUAL LOCATION OF ALL UTILITY ENTRANCES TO INCLUDE SANITARY SEWER LATERALS, DOMESTIC AND FIRE PROTECTION WATER SERVICE, ELECTRICAL, TELEPHONE AND GAS SERVICE. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE INSTALLATION OF UTILITIES IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO AVOID CONFLICTS AND ASSURE PROPER DEPTHS ARE ACHIEVED AS WELL AS COORDINATING WITH THE REGULATORY AGENCY AS TO LOCATION AND SCHEDULING OF TIE-INS/CONNECTIONS TO THEIR FACILITIES. 27. THE SITE WORK CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE THE INSTALLATION OF ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES WITH HIS WORK. ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES (WATER, SANITARY SEWER, STORM SEWER, ELECTRICAL CONDUIT, IRRIGATION SLEEVES, AND ANY OTHER MISCELLANEOUS), SHALL BE IN -PLACE PRIOR TO THE PLACEMENT OF BASE PAVEMENT COURSE MATERIAL. 28. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROTECTING EXISTING BENCHMARK AND RELOCATING BENCHMARK IF NECESSARY. BENCHMARK SHALL BE RELOCATED TO ORIGINAL ELEVATION. 29.
