Existing Conditions This site is located in an area that consists primarily of single family uses. There is, however, one light industrial use nearby. B. Development Proposal This is a proposal to subdivide 35.45 acres into 3 lots and 480 feet of new street, for use as a combined storage facility for Water Works and sewer. C. Analysis The staff suggests that access be limited to Shackleford Road. However, if a controlled access with no drive through can be accomplished, we would support that action. The purpose of this action would be to limit access to Talley Road. D. Staff Recommendation Approval, subject to comments made. July 8, 1986 SUBDIVISIONS Item No. 2 - Continued SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE ACTION: (6-26-86) The discussion on this plat centered on provision of access. The applicant offered a plan to resolve through traffic and lessen the impact upon Talley Road. The Talley Road point of entry to this property was identified as the northwestern corner whereby Talley Road passes within 100 feet making a turn to the west. PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION: (7-8-86) The applicant was present. There were no objectors in attendance. After a brief discussion the Commission voted on a motion to approve the application as revised. The motion passed by a vote of 8 ayes, 0 noes, 2 absent and 1 open position.
