3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH WAGNER GENERAL CONSTRACTORS,
5 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED NINE HUNDRED THIRTY-
6 NINE THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLARS
7 ($939,320.00), TO PROVIDE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SERVICES FOR
8 THE CONSTRUCTION OF TEMPORARY FIRE STATION NO. 9,
9 LOCATED AT 1509 GREEN MOUNTAIN DRIVE; AND FOR OTHER
10 PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS,as a result of the March 31,2023,EF-3 Tornado,Fire Station No.9,located at 1324 North
13 Shackleford Road,was deemed a total loss; and,
14 WHEREAS, a temporary Fire Station is needed to continue service levels in the affected area until a
15 new Fire Station can be designed and constructed; and,
16 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 16,018 (June 6, 2023) authorized the purchase of
17 certain real property located at 1509 Green Mountain Drive to be renovated for a temporary Fire Station;
18 and,
19 WHEREAS, the City issued Bid No. 2464 for General Contractor Services for the construction of
20 temporary Fire Station No. 9, located at 1502 Green Mountain Drive, and Wagner General Contractors,
21 Inc.,was the lowest,most responsible bid meeting specifications of the five(5)bids received for the project.
22 WHEREAS,the contract amount for the General Contractor Services shall not exceed Nine Hundred
23 Thirty-Nine Thousand,Three Hundred Twenty Dollars($939,320.00),which includes a 15% contingency.
24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Wagner
27 General Contractors,Inc., in an amount not to exceed Nine Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand,Three Hundred
28 Twenty Dollars($939,320.00),which includes a 15%contingency,to provide General Contractor Services
29 for the construction of temporary Fire Station No. 9, located at 1502 Green Mountain Drive.
30 Section 2. Funding for this contract is available through the Federal Emergency Management Agency
31 Temp Facility Special Project,Account No. 270519-G51DF231.
32 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
33 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
34 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
3 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
4 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
