HomeMy WebLinkAbout16371 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,371 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH WAGNER GENERAL CONTRACTORS, 5 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-NINE THOUSAND, SIX 6 HUNDRED FORTY DOLLARS ($59,640.00), FOR CONSTRUCTION OF 7 CURB RAMPS IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY WITHIN THE CITY OF 8 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,curb ramps are required to comply with the American Disability Act Standards when City 11 streets are asphalt resurfaced within the City of Little Rock,Arkansas; and, 12 WHEREAS,the City,issued Bid No. 2478 for the 2024 Curb Ramp Construction Phase I Project, and 13 Wagner General Contractors,Inc., submitted the lowest,most responsible bid meeting specifications of the 14 three(3)bids received for the project; and, 15 WHEREAS, the total cost of the project shall not exceed Fifty-Nine Thousand, Six Hundred Forty 16 Dollars($59,640.00),which includes a 20%contingency. 17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement with Wagner 20 General Contractors, Inc., in an amount not to exceed Fifty-Nine Thousand, Six Hundred Forty Dollars 21 ($59,640.00),which includes a 20%contingency,for the 2024 Curb Ramp Construction Phase I related to 22 the 2023-2025 Street Resurfacing Programs. 23 Section 2. Funding for this project is allocated in the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital 24 Improvement Bonds as authorized by Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 15,968 (May 2, 2023), Account 25 No. 332409-BOD003S. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
