Home My WebLink About16369 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,369 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH R.VALADEZ CONSTRUCTION,INC., IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED THIRTY-TWO 6 THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED SEVENTEEN AND 76/100 DOLLARS 7 ($232,317.76), FOR THE EAST 38T11 STREET DRAINAGE 8 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS,bids were solicited for the East 38th Street Drainage Improvement Project,Bid.No.2514; 11 and, 12 WHEREAS, R. Valadez Construction, Inc., submitted the lowest, most responsible bid meeting 13 specifications of the three (3)bids received for the project; and, 14 WHEREAS,the total cost of the project shall not exceed Two Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand, Three 15 Hundred Seventeen and 76/100 Dollars ($232,317.76),which includes a 20% contingency. 16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement with R. 19 Valadez Construction, Inc., in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand, Three 20 Hundred Seventeen and 76/100 Dollars($232,317.76),which includes a 20%contingency,for the East 38th 21 Street Drainage Improvement Project. 22 Section 2. Funding for this project is allocated in the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital 23 Improvement Bonds as authorized by Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 15,968 (May 2, 2023), Account 24 No. B 1 D010D. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with 31 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 32 ADOPTED: July 16,2024 33 AT S .
