HomeMy WebLinkAbout16365 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,365 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT T EXTENSION WITH THE PETER DAMON GROUP, 5 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY-FOUR UR THOU SAND 6 DOLLARS ($24,000.00), TO PROVIDE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT 7 RELATIONS AND CONSULTING SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock,Arkansas,the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport,the Little 11 Rock Port Authority, Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority and Rock Region METRO(the"Parties") 12 entered into a contract with The Peter Damon Group for Federal Government Relations and Consulting 13 Services(the"Contract")as authorized by Little Rock,Ark.,Resolution No. 15,441 (April 20,2021);and, 14 WHEREAS,the initial contract provided for a one (1)-year term with up to three (3) additional one 15 (1)-year terms;and, 16 WHEREAS,the Parties have previously extended the contract for two(2)additional one(1)-year terms 17 and desire to extend the contract for the third and final term. 18 WHEREAS,the total amount of the contract is One Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars($120,000.00) 19 and will be divided equally between the Parties, with the City's portion not to exceed Twenty-Four 20 Thousand Dollars($24,000.00). 21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to enter into a Contract with The Peter 24 Damon Group,in an amount not to exceed Twenty-Four Thousand Dollars($24,000.00),to provide Federal 25 Government Relations and Consulting Services for the City of Little Rock,Bill and Hillary Clinton National 26 Airport,Little Rock Port Authority,Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority and Rock Region METRO. 27 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into any other contracts or agreements needed 28 consistent with this resolution. 29 Section 3.The City of Little Rock,Arkansas,the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport,Little Rock 30 Port Authority,Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority,and Rock Region METRO will divide expenses 31 equally,and the City's portion shall not exceed Twenty-Four Thousand Dollars($24,000.00) 32 Section 4. Funds for this contract shall be available Federal Consultant, Account No. 108129- 33 S100627. 34 Section 5. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or [Page 1 of 21 1 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju- 2 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and effect 3 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the reso- 4 lution. 5 Section 6. Repealer.
