HomeMy WebLinkAbout16354 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,354 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROPRIATE ONE MILLION FIVE HUNDRED 4 THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,500,000.00) FROM THE TECHNOLOGY 5 PARK SPECIAL PROJECT TO THE CENTRAL ARKANSAS 6 TECHNOLOGY PARK AUTHORITY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1 of Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 22,234 (March 7, 2023), the 9 City of Little Rock, Arkansas (City), indicated that it would set aside up to Three Million Dollars 10 ($3,000,000.00)in proceeds for economic development;specifically for the development of the Little Rock 11 Technology Park; and, 12 WHEREAS, the Executive Director of the Central Arkansas Technology Park Authority, which 13 operates as the Little Rock Technology Park, has requested funding to further the process of development 14 of the Technology Park,and, 15 WHEREAS,there is a desire that the City appropriate these funds so that it can proceed with various 16 activities including, but not limited to,further development of the Technology Park Facilities. 17 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The City appropriates the sum of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars 20 ($1,500,000.00) for the Little Rock Technology Park, to be paid at this time, from the Little Rock 21 Technology Park Special Project,Account No. 108129-S 1 00522. 22 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and 25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 26 resolution. 27 Section 4. Repealer.
