HomeMy WebLinkAbout16347 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,347 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH RAINBOW INTERNATIONAL 5 RESTORATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED NINETY-TWO 6 THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-ONE AND 20/100 DOLLARS 7 ($92,131.20), FOR THE REPAIR OF DAMAGES AT THE FLEET FIRE 8 MAINTENANCE SHOP DUE TO A RECENT FIRE; AND FOR OTHER 9 PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, in February 2024, the Fleet Services Department experienced a fire at the Fleet Fire 12 Maintenance Shop;and, 13 WHEREAS,the cost for repairs will be reimbursed through the Travelers Indemnity Company;and, 14 WHEREAS, vendor selection for the repair of damages due to the fire was approved through a 15 Competitive Requirement Exemption;and, 16 WHEREAS,the total purchase for the repairs shall not exceed Ninety-Two Thousand, One Hundred 17 Thirty-One and 20/100 Dollars($92,131.20). 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Rainbow 21 International Restoration,in an amount not to exceed Ninety-Two Thousand,One Hundred Thirty-One and 22 20/100 Dollars($92,131.20), for the repairs of damage at the Fleet Fire Maintenance Shop due to a recent 23 fire. 24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in Fleet Maintenance Funds, Account No. 600031- 25 61010. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
