3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DOYNE CONSTRUCTION, IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED SIX HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS
6 ($6201,000.00), FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE EAST LITTLE ROCK
7 COMMUNITY CETNER; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS,the Parks& Recreation Department has identified improvements that need to be made at
10 the East Little Rock Community Center as a result of years of deferred maintenance;and,
1 1 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 15,783 (August 6, 2022) stated the intent to spend
12 American Rescue Plan Act Funds on Parks&Community Centers; and,
13 WHEREAS,the City issued Bid No. 2461-2, and Doyne Construction was selected as the lowest re-
14 sponsive and reasonable bid meeting the specifications of the six(6)bids received; and,
IS WHEREAS,the total contract amount for the renovations to the East Little Rock Community Center
16 shall not exceed Six Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars($620,000.00).
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Doyne
20 Construction, in an amount not to exceed Six Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($620,000.00), for the
21 renovation of the East Little Rock Community Center.
22 Section 2. Funds are available with American Rescue Plan Act Funds, TREA East Little Rock
23 Community Center, Account No. 271459-G0601 AR45G.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
