HomeMy WebLinkAbout16332 RESOLUTION NO. 16,332 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH VERSATERM PUBLIC SAFETY US,INC.,IN 5 AN AMOUNT NOT. TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND 6 DOLLARS ($150,000.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR 7 THE PURCHASE OF ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT 8 SOFTWARE FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT MAJOR 9 CRIMES, SPECIAL INVESTIGATIONS AND INTERNAL AFFAIRS 10 DIVISIONS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES 11 12 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department has identified the need to digitize and manage the 13 paper file system within the Major Crimes,Special Investigation and Internal Affairs Divisions, in an effort 14 to eliminate physical labor and physical storage space;and, I5 WHEREAS,with the implementation of Electronic Document Management Software, staff will have I6 unlimited digital access to files on the Cloud, to incorporate data searches and fulfill requests in a more 17 time-efficient manner,along with the ability to have unlimited storage space for new case files;and, 18 WHEREAS, vendor selection for the Electronic Document Management Software, meeting the 19 specifications needed,was made through the OMNIA Cooperative Agreement; and, 20 WHEREAS, the total purchase price shall not exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars 21 ($150,000.00), plus applicable taxes and fees. 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement with Versaterm 25 Public Safety US, Inc., in the amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00), 26 plus applicable taxes and fees, for the purchase of Electronic Document Management Software, for the 27 Little Rock Police Department Major Crimes, Special Investigation and Internal Affairs Divisions 28 Section 2. Funding for this project is allocated in the 2023 Little Rock Police Department Salary 29 Savings,Account No. 108529-S52C459- 60180. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and 33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 34 resolution.
