3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH LONESTAR TACTICAL BUILDINGS, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIX HUNDRED THIRTY-TWO
6 THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY-TWO AND 51/100 DOLLARS
7 ($632,432.51), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE
8 PURCHASE OF A BURN BUILDING FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE
9 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department has identified the need to replace the previous Burn
12 Building that has been deemed unsafe;and,
13 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 15,783 (August 6, 2022) stated the intent to spend
14 American Rescue Plan Act Funds on Fire Facility Improvements; and,
15 WHEREAS, the City issued Bid 2456 for a Burn Building for the Little Rock Fire Department and
16 Lonestar Tactical Buildings was the only qualified bid received; and,
17 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase shall not exceed Six Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand, Four
18 Hundred Thirty-Two and 51/100 Dollars($632,432.51), plus applicable taxes and fees.
19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The Board of Director authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Lonestar
22 Tactical Buildings, in an amount not to exceed Six Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand, Four Hundred Thirty-
23 Two and 51/100 Dollars($632,432.51),plus applicable taxes and fees, for the purchase of a Burn Building
24 for the Little Rock Fire Department.
25 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is allocated in the American Rescue Plan Act Funds, Account
26 No. 271519-G0601 AR51 C.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
