HomeMy WebLinkAbout16328 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,328 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE 4 A CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP, IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED EIGHTY-SEVEN 6 THOUSAND, FORTY DOLLARS ($287,040.00), PLUS APPLICABLE 7 TAXES AND FEES,FOR REPAVING SURFACES AT FIRE STATION NO. 8 15, LOCATED AT 8915 KANIS ROAD; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department has identified the need to repave the surfaces at Fire 11 Station No. 15, located at 8915 Kanis Road;and, 12 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 15,783 (August 6, 2022) stated the intent to spend 13 American Rescue Plan Act Funds on Fire Facility Improvements; and, 14 WHEREAS, the City issued Bid 2455 and Redstone Construction Group submitted the lowest 15 responsive and reasonable bid meeting the specifications of the three(3)bids received for the project; and, 16 WHEREAS, the total cost for the purchase shall not exceed Two Hundred Eighty-Seven Thousand, 17 Forty Dollars($287,040.00),which includes a 15% contingency. 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The Board of Director authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Redstone 21 Construction Group, in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Eighty-Seven Thousand, Forty Dollars 22 ($287,040.00), which includes a 15% contingency, for the repaving of surfaces a Fire Station No. 15, 23 located at 8915 Kanis Road. 24 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is allocated in the American Rescue Plan Act Funds, Account 25 No. 271519-G0601 AR51 C. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
