Markham Little Rock, AR 72201 RE: The Ranch Dear Jim: It is my understanding that sidewalks are required on both sides of those streets where development other than single family occurs within The Ranch. It is also my understanding that in areas of zoning for commercial, office, or multi- family development, sidewalks are to be delayed until each site is developed. This was done on Ranch Drive and Ranch Blvd. The first development, Leisure Arts, is constructing sidewalk along Ranch Drive as part of their site plan and building permit requirements. Sidewalks that are constructed prior to site development within large commercial and office complexes tend to be old, broken and practically unusable at the time they are needed.
