HomeMy WebLinkAbout16314 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,314 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH H.W.TUCKER COMPANY,IN AN AMOUNT 5 NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-ONE THOUSAND, FOUR 6 HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($131,475.00), FOR THE 7 GREENLAND COVE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT;AND FOR 8 OTHER PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS, bids were solicited for the Greenwood Cove Drainage Improvement Project, Bid No. 11 2418;and, 12 WHEREAS, H.W. Tucker Company submitted the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting 13 specifications of the five(5)bids received for the project;and, 14 WHEREAS, the total cost of the project shall not exceed One Hundred Thirty-One Thousand, Four 15 Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars($131,475.00), which includes a 20%contingency. 16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement with H.W. 19 Tucker Company, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thirty-One Thousand, Four Hundred Seventy- 20 Five Dollars ($131,475.00), which includes a 20% contingency, for the Greenwood Cove Drainage 21 Improvement Project. 22 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement 23 Bonds as authorized by Little Rock,Ark., Resolution No. 14,803 (May 2, 2023),Account No. B7D068D. 24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 Section 4. Repea/er.
