3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
4 EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE SALE OF LAND
5 TO THE ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION, IN THE
6 AMOUNT OF SIXTY-TWO THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED FORTY-
7 NINE DOLLARS ($62,349.00), AS PART OF THE CANTRELL ROAD
8 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, FROM TAYLOR LOOP ROAD TO
9 PLEASANT RIDGE DRIVE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock is the owner of certain property as described Part of Lots 4 - 15,
12 Block 34 of Josephine Pankey's Extension of the Third Addition, an addition to the City of Little Rock,
13 Arkansas, as filed in Book 2, Page 111, located in the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of
14 Section 20, Township 2 North, Range 13 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas being acquired by the Arkansas
15 State Highway Commission("Commission")as Job No. 061382,Tract 57; and,
16 WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Commission needs to acquire this property as right-of-
17 way, as part of the Cantrell Road Improvement Project, from Taylor Loop Road to Pleasant Ridge Drive;
18 and,
19 WHEREAS, the value of said property being acquired by the Commission was appraised by Fair
20 Market Value as Sixty-Two Thousand,Three Hundred Forty-Nine Dollars($62,349.00).
21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any necessary documents, in a
24 form acceptable to the City Attorney,to sell the property to the Arkansas State Highway Commission,more
25 particularly described as:
26 Part of Lots 4 - 15, Block 34 of Josephine Pankey's Extension of the Third
27 Addition,an addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,as filed in Book 2,Page
28 111, located in the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 20,
29 Township 2 North, Range 13 West, Pulaski County,Arkansas, more particularly
30 described as follows: Commencing at a point being used as the northeast corner
31 of said Block 34; thence South 0°57'52" West along the east line of said Block 34
32 a distance of 330.41 feet to the northerly right-of-way line of Arkansas State
33 Highway 10 (Cantrell Road) as established by Arkansas Highway and
34 Transportation Job No. 60290; thence North 73°37'12" West along said right-of-

1 way line a distance of 11.76 feet to the northerly right-of-way line of Arkansas
2 State Highway 10 (Cantrell Road) as established by Arkansas Department of
3 Transportation (ArDOT) Job No. 061382 and the Point of Beginning; thence
4 continue North 73°37'12" West along said right-of-way line a distance of 33.01
5 feet to a point; thence North 88°52'31" West along said right-of-way line a
6 distance of 57.01 feet to a point; thence North 75°05'05" West along said right-of-
7 way line a distance of 195.62 feet to the east right-of-way line of Conner Street as
8 established by Josephine Pankey's Extension of Her Third Addition as filed in
9 Book 2, Page 111; thence North 0°57'52" East along said right-of-way line a
10 distance of 21.76 feet to the northerly right-of-way line of Arkansas State
11 Highway 10 (Cantrell Road) as established by ArDOT Job No. 061382; thence
12 South 73°36'25" East along said right-of-way line a distance of 59.34 feet to a
13 point; thence South 81°47'32" East along said right-of-way line a distance of
14 196.98 feet to a point; thence South 34°00'15" East along said right-of-way line a
15 distance of 45.44 feet to the Point of Beginning and containing 0.17 acres (7,374
16 square-feet), more or less, as shown on ArDOT plans referenced as Job No.
17 061382, Tract 57.
18 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
19 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
20 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and
21 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
22 resolution.
23 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
24 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
