3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 APPROPRIATE THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND
5 DOLLARS ($375,000.00) FROM THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK'S
6 PORTION OF THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT FUNDS TO THE
7 MUSEUM OF DISCOVERY FOR NEW EXHIBIT INSTALLATIONS;
8 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 3 of Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No.15,847(December 20, 2022),
11 the City of Little Rock,Arkansas(City), indicated that it would allocate up to Three Hundred Seventy-Five
12 Thousand Dollars ($375,000.00) in American Rescue Plan Act Funds for capital improvements at the
13 Museum of Discovery; and,
14 WHEREAS,the Museum of Discovery has identified installation needs associated with three(3)new
15 exhibits;and,
16 WHEREAS,there is a desire that the City appropriate these funds so that the Museum of Discovery
17 can make needed improvements to the exhibit space.
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to appropriate the sum of Three
21 Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($375,000.00) to the Museum of Discovery for new exhibit
22 installations.
23 Section 2. Funding is allocated in the American Rescue Plan Act Funds,TREA Museum of Discovery,
24 Account No. 271259-G0601 AR I2B.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
