3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SCOTT EQUIPMENT,INC.,IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE THOUSAND,SEVEN
6 HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($221,775.00), PLUS
7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1)
8 VOLVO L7OH WEEL LOADER FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
9 DEPARTMENT STREET OPERATIONS DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER
10 PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department Street Operations Division has demonstrated a need to
13 purchase one (1) Volvo L7OH Wheel Loader to replace an aged, high maintenance unit currently in the
14 City's fleet;and,
15 WHEREAS, vendor selection for one (1) Volvo L7OH Wheel Loader, meeting the specifications
16 needed,was made through the Sourcewell Contract No. 011723-VCE; and,
17 WHEREAS, the total purchase price for one (1) Volvo L7OH Wheel Loader shall not exceed Two
18 Hundred Twenty-One Thousand, Seven Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($221,775.00), plus applicable
19 taxes and fees.
20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Scott
23 Equipment, Inc., for the purchase of one(1) Volvo L7OH Wheel Loader, in an amount not to exceed Two
24 Hundred Twenty-One Thousand, Seven Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($221,775.00), plus applicable
25 taxes and fees,to be used by the Public Works Department Street Operations Division.
26 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2024 Public Works Street Operations
27 Replacement Fund,Account No. 205409-72200-S40B660.
28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
32 resolution.
33 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
34 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
