HomeMy WebLinkAbout16306 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,306 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH MUSCO SPORTS LIGHTING, LLC, IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND 6 DOLLARS ($220,000.00), FOR THE INSTALLATION OF NEW SPORTS 7 LIGHTS AT THE WEST CENTRAL SPORTS COMPLEX; AND FOR 8 OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Parks & Recreation Department Staff has identified the need to install new sports 11 lights at the West Central Sports Complex;and, 12 WHEREAS, residents have requested that the lights and fields be renovated to continue to be 13 operational for fun and safe play,and plans have been developed to rebuild the largest field, including new 14 sports lighting;and, 15 WHEREAS, Musco Sports Lighting, LLC, was selected utilizing the Sourcewell Purchasing 16 Agreement,Contract No. 041123-MSL; and, 17 WHEREAS, the total contract amount for the installation of new sports lights shall not exceed Two 18 Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars($220,000.00), plus applicable taxes and fees. 19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Musco 22 Sports Lighting, LLC, in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars($220,000.00), 23 plus applicable taxes and fees,for the installation of new sports light at the West Central Sports Complex. 24 Section 2. Funds are available from the American Rescue Plan Act Funding, TREA West Central, 25 Account No. 271459-G0601 AR45C. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
