Hi Joe,
Please see attached copy of the signed COC for your project. The original COC will be mailed to the owner’s
mailing address listed with the county assessor. Please upload the attached copy of the signed COC to any
relevant building permit application when you apply. The COC, or the copy, is required to be posted to the property
in a location visible from the public right-of-way during your project work. This is primarily for our code
enforcement officers and surrounding neighbors to see that the work has been permitted. Once you have
completed the work, please provide photographs of the completed project or schedule a time with me to come
review the completed work on site. Either works for this project scope.
Thanks,

Hi Hannah,
Thank you for explaining the address issue. It doesn't matter to me either way, so if it's better for you to list it
as 316 E 11th St, then that's fine with me. The COC draft looks good. I don't think there's anything that needs
to be changed or added.
Thanks!

Good morning, Joe,
I recognize that the building technically sits on the parcel related to 1016 Rock Street, but since it is detached to
316 E 11th, previous applications use the 11th Street address and the assessor’s office relates the accessory
structure to 316 E 11th, it is our practice to address this circumstance this way based on a number of factors. It’s a
strange circumstance. I have changed the legal description of the parcel to reflect Lot 8 Block 45. If there is a
specific reason you need it to be addressed to 1016 Rock Stret, I can do that, but it’s better for our casefile
management to have it at 316 E 11th.
Please see attached draft Certificate of Compliance for your project at 316 E 11th Street. Please review this draft an
confirm if the COC reflects the full scope of your project. Once confirmed, Staff will then sign and send a copy
back to you for your records.
Please also let me know about the address and I’ll make changes to the COC and application if needed.
Thanks,

Hi Hannah,
Here are the requested photos of the shed as it is now. To clarify, even though the shed abuts the back of the
Violin Shop, it is actually a part of the 1016 Rock St property, not the 316 E 11 th St property. If you would,
please update the application with the 1016 Rock St address and I will get it signed and sent back to you.
As for materials, the roof decking will be replaced with OSB panels and covered with corrugated galvanized
steel roof panels. The rotted exterior plywood sheathing panels will be replaced, and the wooden cleats will
be replaced or reused when possible.

Good afternoon, Joe,
Apologies that it has taken me longer than typical to respond to your email! Would you mind resending the photos
you previously provided of the shed? I’m not able to view them in the previous emails for some reason. We have
updated our COA application since it was last sent to you. I’ve attached the updated application and here and
went ahead and filled in the application page as you had completed it, except for correcting the address to 316 E
11th Street. Could you review, sign, and send back this application (page 5)? Lastly, what are the replacement
materials, in specific, that will be used to repair the shed? Just need a bit more detail on this for review.
Thanks,

Hi Hannah,
We are finally ready to get started on the repair of the utility shed at 1016 Rock St. As you requested, I filled
out a COA Application for the project. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any
additional information.
Thanks!
