Good morning, Chris,
Please see attached copies of the signed and approved Certificates of Compliance for your projects at 1104 Rock
Street and 1112 Rock Street. The original COA will be mailed to the owner’s mailing address listed with the county
assessor for their records. These permits, or their copies, are required to be posted to the property in a location
visible from the public right-of-way during your project work. This is primarily for our code enforcement officers
and surrounding neighbors to see that the work has been permitted.
Once you have completed the work, please provide photographs of the completed project or schedule a time with
me to come review the completed work on site. Either works for this project scope.
Thanks,

Good afternoon, Chris,
Thank you for your call regarding your projects at 1104 and 1112 S Rock Street. To summarize some
basic information about the MacArthur Park Local Ordinance District and the Little Rock Historic
District Commission:
The properties at 1104 S Rock Street and 1112 S Rock Street are within the MacArthur Park Local
Ordinance District. The goal of the local ordinance district is to protect and preserve the unique and
valued qualities of such an area, its urban design, architectural character, and historic materials in
buildings and in landscapes. A property owner in this district is subject to the rules and regulations as
set forth by the City of Little Rock ordinances, Municipal Code Chapter 23, Sec. 76-160, that is based
on Arkansas State law. Any exterior renovation of structures, additions, fencing, or other site features
need to be either administratively approved by staff or reviewed by the Little Rock Historic District
Commission at their regularly monthly public meetings.

For your reroof projects at the above addresses, please complete in full page 5 of the attached
application and provide information regarding the new roofing material product. A link to the roofing
material would suffice. You may return the completed application to me via email or in person at the

application for each structure.
Please contact staff with any questions.
