Re: HDC2022-026 COA Amendment, 1003 McMath
Dear Mr. Haddock and Mr. Russell,
This letter is to inform you that your request for the amendment of a Certificate of
Appropriateness, HDC2022-026, has been administratively reviewed and approved by
the Historic District Commission. On January 6, 2023, a Certificate of Appropriateness
was issued for new multi-family residential construction at 1003 McMath. It is noted that
the COA amendment is to extend the proposed structure towards the rear of the
property as needed, maintaining an 18-foot front yard setback, a 4-foot side yard
setback, and a 25-foot minimum rear yard setback.
Original conditions of approval remain, including the use of textured brick where
masonry is proposed as well as landscaping screening for the HVAC units visible from
McMath and the parking area visible from 10th Street. This amendment approval does
not include approval for fencing or front yard paving.
