WHEREAS, City of Little Rock Municipal Parks properties are currently zoned a variety of zoning classifications, and WHEREAS, in conjunction with the creation of the 2001 Parks System Master Plan, the City of Little Rock Department of Parks and Recreation sought the development of a zoning district designed to accommodate the wide variety of uses found in a large municipal parks system, and WHEREAS, on January 16, 2001, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas passed Ordinance No. 18,419 which provided for the creation of a new zoning district titled "PR" Park and Recreation District, and WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock Department Parks and Recreation is now requesting that the zoning of Little Rock Municipal Parks properties be reclassified to "PR" Park and Recreation Districts, and WHEREAS, on May 31, 2001, the Little Rock Planning Commission did vote unanimously to approve the rezoning of Little Rock Municipal Parks property to "PR" Park and Recreation District.
