ORDINANCE NO. 18,527
AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY
LOCATED IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, City of Little Rock Municipal Parks
properties are currently zoned a variety of zoning
classifications, and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with the creation of the 2001
Parks System Master Plan, the City of Little Rock
Department of Parks and Recreation sought the development
of a zoning district designed to accommodate the wide
variety of uses found in a large municipal parks system,
and
WHEREAS, on January 16, 2001, the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas passed Ordinance No.
18,419 which provided for the creation of a new zoning
district titled "PR" Park and Recreation District, and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock Department Parks and
Recreation is now requesting that the zoning of Little Rock
Municipal Parks properties be reclassified to "PR" Park and
Recreation Districts, and
WHEREAS, on May 31, 2001, the Little Rock Planning
Commission did vote unanimously to approve the rezoning of
Little Rock Municipal Parks property to "PR" Park and
Recreation District.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the zone classification of the
following described City of Little Rock Municipal Park
properties is hereby changed from Various Zoning Districts
to "PR" Park and Recreation District.

On May 31, 2001, the Little Rock Planning Commission will review the new Parks
Master Plan and the associated request to rezone all City of Little Rock Parks property to
"PR" Park and Recreation District. This rezoning action is a follow-up step to the
creation of the new PR zoning category that took place in January 2001.
The Public Hearing will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2001 in the Board of
Directors Chamber located on the 2nd floor of City Hall at 500 West Markham.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
On May 31, 2001, at 4:00 in the Chamber of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Second
Floor, City Hall, at 500 West Markham St., pursuant to the Provisions of Chapter 36 of the Code of
Ordinances, the Little Rock Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposal to rezone the
