I am writing this letter as part of an application under the new laws for my single-family home residence at 27 Summeriand Ct, Little Rock, AR 72227 to be used as an STR-2 property. The house was purchased at the beginning of my residency training at DAMS in June 2018, and I sought to keep ownership of the home when I eventually moved to continue my training in Louisiana and now finally in Connecticut. Unfortunately, the house was hit by the tornado that swept through Little Rock in late March and it has been a long process of restoration since then. All repairs have since been Completed and the house is ready for rental again. The neighbors I had during my time there were supportive of using the house as a rental property which operated peacefully in that neighborhood, My neighbors were able to reach me and also were provided the contact information for the property manager. I would like to see the neighborhood revitalized and believe that making 27 Summerland Ct available for ongoing rental helps keep the circle alive and growing in a fashion that is professional and respectful to the city and its residents and neighbors while providing a place for guests to Little Rock to find a creative venue to stay at or reside while traveling for business. Furthermore, STR-2 designation allows me to retain the house and come back to a familiar place for work and leisure_ Thank you for taking my application into consideration.
