This is Daniel Harper’s emails regarding stopping his effort to rezone. “I sent my email to Debra Stafford Development Specialist Planning O: 501-371-4565 dstafford@littlerock.gov Sent from my iPhone I canceled. My application was never completed because it requires sending certified mail to all homeowners within 200 ft of the property. I had paid for the application and began the process, and Chris Masopust was facilitating that for me. I won’t be involved in the hearing.“ Torrence, please confirm there will not be a hearing on rezoning 27 Summerlin Ct. Lawson McBride 501-690-7701 -----Original Message----- From: Stafford, Debra L. I rely on my neighbors to operate a safe business and depend on them to look out for the property and could compromise that by continuing this application. Furthermore, I care about them and don’t want to be at odds with them. I’m the owner of 27 Summerland Ct. in Little Rock, a house I purchased while in residency at UAMS and was hoping to keep. While I traveled to continue my medical training I rented it out, eventually converting it to a short term rental, which was successful without any complaints from my neighbors, rented until the house was hit by the most recent tornado. During the rebuild, the city passed the new zoning requirements. My neighbors who were previously supportive, stand in opposition to having a commercial zoning to the property. Rezoning from a single family zone means giving up a certain level of control and security to them. Without their approval, I cannot continue the STR2 application knowing they would oppose me in the public hearing. > > Daniel Harper > >
