3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DEERE&COMPANY,IN AN AMOUNT NOT
5 TO EXCEED NINETY-FIVE THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY-
6 ONE AND 24/100 DOLLARS ($95,971.24), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES
7 AND FEES,FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE(1)JOHN DEERE 5400E CAB
8 TRACTOR, LOADER AND MOWER FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
9 DEPARTMENT LANDFILL DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the Public Works Department has demonstrated a need to purchase one(1)John Deere
12 5100E Cab Tractor, Loader & Mower for the Landfill Division to replace aged, high maintenance units
13 currently in the City's fleet; and,
14 WHEREAS,vendor selection for one(1)John Deere 5100E Cab Tractor, Loader&Mower,meeting
15 the specifications needed, was made through Sourcewell Contract No. PA 4600053973 (PG OC CG 22);
16 and,
17 WHEREAS, the total purchase price for one (1) John Deere 5100E Cab Tractor, Loader& Mower
18 shall not to exceed Ninety-Five Thousand,Nine Hundred Seventy-One and 24/100 Dollars ($95,971.24),
19 plus applicable taxes and fees.
20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Deere
23 &Company, for the purchase of one(1)John Deere 5100E Cab Tractor, Loader& Mower, in an amount
24 not to exceed Ninety-Five Thousand, Nine Hundred Seventy-One and 24/100 Dollars ($95,971.24), plus
25 applicable taxes and fees,to be used by the Public Works Department Landfill Division.
26 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the TREA Solid Waste Equipment Account No.
27 271409-G0601AR40A, utilizing American Rescue Plan Act Funds.
28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
32 resolution.
33 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
34 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
