3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO HARRIS
4 CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT FOR SIDEWALK
5 CONSTRUCTION AT WESTERN HILLS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL;
6 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the 2004 Bond Capital Improvements Program allocated funds for
9 School Area Pedestrian Safety Improvement, and favorable bid prices allowed
10 completion of these projects leaving a balance for additional project development
11 including this project for Western Hills Elementary School Sidewalk Project, Bid #06-
12 264; and
13 WHEREAS, Harris Construction Management submitted the lowest responsible
14 and responsive bid, in the amount of $148,648.50 ($135,135.00 plus 10% contingencies).
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with
18 Harris Construction Management for construction of sidewalk installation
19 improvements for the Western Hills Elementary School Project.
20 Section 2. Funding for the project is available from several remaining balances of
21 2004 Bond Capital Improvement School Area Pedestrian Safety Improvement funds
22 (318- 220 -SW09 plus other sidewalk fund balances), in the amount of $148,648.50
23 ($135,135.00 plus 10% contingencies).
24 Section 3. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date
25 of its adoption.
