Cross Scipip A. Jones Museum - PD-O (Z-9909) Response to Staff Development Comments Importance: High Mrs. Stafford, Thank you for the development staff comments in regards to PD-O  Z-9909 for the Scipio Jones House (Museum). I have reviewed the comments with the owners and herewith state the following. 1. Provide the number of employees at any given time. Five (5) employees 2. Will a dumpster be located on site? If so, screening must comply with Section 36-523 off the City’s zoning ordinance.   No dumpster is required. We intend to maintain as much as possible a ‘residential’ appearance of the site and will accept the use of the city standard portable trash bin / recycle bin as currently used through out this neighborhood. 3.  Any site lighting must be low-level and directed away from the adjacent properties. We concur. 4. There is no platted alley within this block. Therefore, there is no ROW to be abandoned. The paved alleyway appears to be on provide property. Understood. Attached is a revised site plan illustrating the deletion of our reference to ‘abandonment' of the alley. 5. Will there be a sign? If so, all signage must comply with Section 36-555 (signs perm permitted in institutional and office zones. There is no intent for any illuminated or large ground-based or commercial signage on the front yard of the house. We would like to consider a bronze plaque (12” square +/-) on the face of the brick wall within the front porch, or a freestanding decorative wood plaque in the front yard (12” +/-) typically found on National Register properties.  Upon review of our responses, please contact with any additional questions or comments. Also, attached is a photo of the poster mounted since November 14, 2023 on the face of the house.   Thanks.
