When our small team of Arkansas natives purchased this house, it was structurally unsound and essentially uninhabitable. Over the course of 2022, we poured our hearts into revitalizing this historic home. From foundation to roof, every part of this home required at least some level of work, and we are so proud to have restored it to something warm and inviting while also preserving its unique Hillcrest character. At the time of purchasing this house, we saw a need for families traveling from out of town to UAMS, CHI St. Vincent, Baptist Health, and Arkansas Children's Hospital. When these families come to Little Rock with loved ones receiving treatment at Little Rock hospitals, they often must be separated into several hotel rooms. When families are already dealing with distressing health issues, we want to provide them a retreat where they stay together, cook and share meals with one another, and all relax in one dwelling. The comfort of a home allows families to bond and care for each other when they need it most. This is the mission for 4909 Lee Avenue. This home has served as a short -rental haven to many travelers. Moreover, we have even had former residents of Hillcrest book stays as a nostalgic retreat, visiting old friends, and rekindling the memories of the neighborhood they once called home. It has truly been a pleasure providing a temporary home to our guests. We aspire to continue offering this service to keep families traveling to Little Rock together. We sincerely hope for the understanding and approval of the committee and neighborhood to be able to continue serving others with our mission driving us forward. Thank you for considering our application.
