Dear Planning Commission,
Thank you for taking the time to review my STR-2 application. My husband, four children and I
lived in the Cherry and Cox neighborhood from 2006 to 2022. In that time, we grew a strong
heart connection to the neighbors and surrounding community.
We were so pleased with the option of keeping our home and renting it on a short-term basis
when we decided to move in 2022.
We first opened our home on October 1, 2022 as a three bedroom, two bath rental, as we used
our fourth bedroom for storage.Then, in May, 2023, we opened our fourth bedroom, making the
entire home accessible.
Our home has a horseshoe drive in the front that can hold 3 - 4 cars/trucks. We also have a
driveway in the back that can also park an additional 2-3 cars, if needed. This extra parking
space in the back has only been used a handful of times.
Our home has had 70-90% occupancy in 2023 with a 4.99 out of 5.0 overall rating.
My family and I complete most cleanings and house/yard maintenance. We are in and around
our rental home on at least a weekly/bi-weekly basis. We maintain conversations with nearby
neighbors and have given our phone number to several of them in case of any issues. It is our
strong hope to provide a peaceful, relaxing stay for our visitors as well as a peaceful and
enjoyable street for our neighbors. We care deeply for the experiences of all involved.
I have included the necessary application documents and look forward to being reviewed by the
Planning Commision, with hopes that we can continue offering our home as a rental for those
coming to Little Rock.
