HomeMy WebLinkAbout16281 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,281 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO AN INTERLOCAL PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN 5 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND THE NATIONAL 6 PURCHASING COOPERATIVE BUYBOARD; AND FOR OTHER 7 PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock,Arkansas("City"),has the need to purchase information resources 10 technologies and other products through existing vendor contracts;and, 11 WHEREAS, the Finance Departments seeks approval to enter into an interlocal Participation 12 Agreement between the City and the National Purchasing Cooperative BuyBoard; and, 13 WHEREAS, BuyBoard will allow the City to procure information resources technologies and other 14 products through existing vendor contracts and vendor contracts that BuyBoard may enter into during the 15 term of this National Cooperation Contract, in accordance with specifications submitted through purchase 16 orders; and, 17 WHEREAS,All BuyBoard vendor contracts shall be made available to the City,and staff will be able 18 to utilize and leverage the cooperative contracts by issuing a purchase order directly to the vendor; and, 19 WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an interlocal Participation Agreement between the City of 20 Little Rock and the National Purchasing Cooperative BuyBoard in a form and format approved by the City 21 Attorney; and, 22 WHEREAS,authority is granted,and in compliance with the provisions of the Interlocal Cooperation 23 Act, codified at Ark. Code Ann. § 25-20-108, the Interlocal Cooperation Act. 24 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 26 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an Interlocal Participation Agreement between 27 the City of Little Rock and the National Purchasing Cooperative BuyBoard, in compliance with the 28 provisions of the Interlocal Cooperation Act, codified at Ark. Code Ann. § 25-20-108, the Interlocal 29 Cooperation Act which will enable the City to purchase information resource technologies without the need 30 for competitive bidding. 31 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and [Page I of2l 1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 2 resolution. 3 Section 3. Repealer.
