HomeMy WebLinkAbout16280 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,280 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO RENEW 4 THE CONTRACT WITH UTILITY ASSOCIATES, INC., FOR A TOTAL 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIXTY-THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS 6 ($63,000.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE 7 RENEWAL OF THE ROCKET AND RIOT MODEMS FOR THE LITTLE 8 ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department entered into a contract with Utility Associates, Inc., 11 for Remote Configuration Management AVaiLWeb, including Hardware Warranty and Software Service 12 and Support for the Rocket and Riot Modems,and requests authorization to renew; and, 13 WHEREAS, the service will provide continued support for the modems, allow Internet connectivity 14 inside vehicles, move video from vehicles to the servers and provide GPS monitoring for Computer-Aided 15 Dispatch; and, 16 WHEREAS, it is critical that the Little Rock Police Department be equipped with reliable forms of 17 response intervention equipment to preserve public safety; and, 18 WHEREAS, the total cost of the purchase is Sixty-Three Thousand Dollars ($63,000.00), plus 19 applicable taxes and fees. 20 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract renewal with Utility Associates, 23 Inc., for Continued Remote Configuration Management AVaiLWeb including Hardware Warranty and 24 Software Support and Service for Rocket and Riot Moderns in an amount not to exceed Sixty-Three 25 Thousand Dollars($63,000.00), plus applicable taxes and fees. 26 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Little Rock Police Department Other Contracts, 27 Account No. 105255-63390. 28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to he invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and 31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 32 resolution. 33 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with 34 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
