3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
4 EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO ACCEPT THE
5 DONATION OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 7513 FAIRFIELD DRIVE,
6 LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has stated as one of its goals a desire to provide for
9 neighborhood revitalization, and has taken special efforts to accomplish this goal through its use of
10 various City and Federal Funds, and in affirmative actions such as the creation of a Land Bank
11 Commission;and,
12 WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this goal is it required that properties be obtained by the City in
13 areas that are appropriate for revitalization;and,
14 WHEREAS, Bertha Mae Brown, via Anecia Jackson who has Power of Attorney, has indicated her
15 desire to donate to the City of Little Rock, her property located at 7513 Fairfield Drive, Little Rock,
16 Arkansas,72209;and,
17 WHEREAS,the City wishes to accept the property for use in its neighborhood revitalization efforts;
18 and,
19 WHEREAS, City Staff has conducted a title search of the property which revealed valid title to the
20 property and no significant title issues;and,
21 WHEREAS,Anecia Jackson will provide the City with a Warranty Deed to the property;and,
22 WHEREAS,Arkansas State Law requires that the City accept the property by resolution adopted by
23 the Board of Directors.
24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby accepts the donation of the property in favor of the City of
27 Little Rock.
28 Section 2. The property shall be used for a public purpose, specifically for City Revitalization
29 Programs.
30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and
33 effect a if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
34 ordinance.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with
2 the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
