Home My WebLink About16276 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,276 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO. 4 15,711 (JUNE 21, 2022), TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANGER TO 5 INCREASE THE CONTRACT AMOUNT WITH FTN ASSOCIATES,LTD, 6 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND,TWO 7 HUNDRED TWENTY-TWO DOLLARS ($27,222.00), TO PROVIDE 8 ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES AT THE CITY'S CLASS 1 9 LANDFILL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, FTN Associates, LTD, was selected through a Statement of Qualifications process, Bid 12 No. 1063,to provide Engineering Consulting Services,to provide Annual Engineering Inspection Reports; 13 design,permitting and installation oversight of new Gas Monitoring Probes at the existing Class l Landfill; 14 and updating the facility Operating Plan for the existing Class 1 and Class 4 Landfills;and, 15 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 15,711 (June 21, 2022), the Board of Directors 16 approved an Engineering Consulting Services Contract with FTN Associates, LTD, in the amount of One 17 Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars($125,000.00);and, 18 WHEREAS,during the Gas Monitoring Probe installation, more rock strata was encountered during 19 drilling than originally anticipated,resulting in more drilling days than accounted for in the contract;and, 20 WHEREAS,the increased contract amount of Twenty-Seven Thousand, Two Hundred Twenty-Two 21 Dollars($27,222.00),includes Twenty-One Thousand,Six Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars($21,622.00)for 22 the Drilling Subcontractor and Five Thousand,Six Hundred Dollars($5,600.00)in Field Geologist costs to 23 allow for additional days of subsurface drilling to install the gas probes,bringing the total amended contract 24 amount to One Hundred Fifty-Two Thousand,Two Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars($152,222.00). 25 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 26 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 27 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to increase the contract amount 28 with FTN Associates,LTD, in the amount of Twenty-Seven Thousand,Two Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars 29 ($27,222.00),for additional drilling to install Gas Monitoring Probes at the City's Class 1 Landfill. 30 Section 2. Funds this project are allocated in the Solid Waste Enterprise Fund. 31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and 34 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 35 resolution.
