3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
4 EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE SALE OF LAND
5 TO THE ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION, IN THE
6 AMOUNT OF FOURTEEN THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED FOURTEEN
7 DOLLARS ($14,214.00), AS PART OF THE CANTRELL ROAD
8 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, FROM TAYLOR LOOP ROAD TO
9 PLEASANT RIDGE DRIVE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, is the owner of certain property described as Part of
12 Lot 1,Block 11 of Josephine Pankey Third Addition,an addition to the City of Little Rock as filed in Book
13 1, Page 111, located in the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 20, Township 2 North,
14 Range 13 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas being acquired by the Arkansas State Highway Commission
15 ("Commission")as Job No.061382, Tract 83; and,
16 WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Commission needs to acquire this property as right-of-
17 way, as part of the Cantrell Road Improvement Project, from Taylor Loop Road to Pleasant Ridge Drive;
18 and,
19 WHEREAS, the value of said property being acquired by the Commission was appraised by Fair
20 Market Value as Fourteen Thousand,Two Hundred Fourteen Dollars($14,214.00).
21 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1.The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any necessary documents, in a form
24 acceptable to the City Attorney, to sell the property to the Arkansas State Highway Commission, more
25 particularly described as:
26 Part of Lot 1, Block 11 of Josephine Pankey Third Addition, an addition to the
27 City of Little Rock as filed in Book 1, Page 111, located in the Northeast Quarter
28 of the Northwest Quarter of Section 20, Township 2 North, Range 13 West,
29 Pulaski County, Arkansas more particularly described as follows: Commencing
30 at a point being used as the southwest comer of said Block 11; thence North
31 1°56'44" East along the west line of said Block 11 a distance of 279.05 feet to a
32 point on the southerly right-of-way line of Arkansas State Highway 10 (Cantrell
33 Road) as established by Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department
34 (AHTD)Job No.6,189; thence South 78°26'13" East along said right-of-way line,

1 a distance of 257.61 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence continuing South
2 78°26'13" East along said right-of-way line, a distance of 20.09 feet to a point;
3 thence in a southeasterly direction along said right-of-way line on a curve 16.44
4 feet to the right, having a radius of 1,386.54 feet, the chord of which is South
5 78°05'5 I" East for a distance of 16.44 feet to the west right-of-way line of Russ
6 Street (platted as Garland Street) as established by Josephine Pankey Third
7 Addition as filed in Book 1, Page 1 1 1; thence South I056'44" West a distance of
8 112.81 feet to the southeast corner of said Lot 1; thence North 87°27'44" West
9 along the south line of said Lot 1,a distance of 36.00 feet to a point; thence North
10 1°56'44" East a distance of 118.64 feet to the Point of Beginning and containing
11 0.10 acres(4,167 square-feet),more or less,as shown on Arkansas Department of
12 Transportation (ArDOT) plans referenced as Job No. 061382.
13 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
14 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
15 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and
16 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
17 resolution.
18 Section 3.Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
19 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
