HomeMy WebLinkAbout16258 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,258 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO. 4 15,940 (MARCH 21, 2023), TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 5 EXTEND THE ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH VERMEER MID-SOUTH,IN 6 AN ANNUAL PURCHASE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED 7 THOUSAND DOLLARS ($200,000.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND 8 FEES,FOR THE PURCHASE OF VERMEER PARTS AND SERVICE FOR 9 THE FLEET SERVICES DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS,it is critical that the Fleet Services Department be equipped with reliable heavy equipment 12 parts and service tools for minor repairs and maintenance on equipment currently in the City's Fleet;and, 13 WHEREAS, initial vendor selection was made through the utilization of Sourcewell Contract No. 14 050119-VRM;and, 15 WHEREAS,Little Rock,Ark.,Resolution No. 15,940(March 21,2023)authorized an annual contract 16 with Vermeer Mid-South, for one (1)-year, with an option to renew for up to two (2) additional one (1)- 17 year terms. 18 WHEREAS, vendor selection for 2024 was made through the utilization of Sourcewell Contract No. 19 030923-VRM;and, 20 WHEREAS,the Annual Budget for each one (1)-year term is not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand 21 Dollars($200,000.00), plus applicable taxes and fees;and, 22 WHEREAS,this renewal represents year two(2)of a protentional three(3)-year term. 23 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 25 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a one (1)-year 26 contract extension with Mid-South Vermeer, in an annual budget amount not to exceed Two Hundred 27 Thousand Dollars($200,000.00), plus applicable taxes and fees,to provide Vermeer Parks and Service for 28 the Fleet Services Department. 29 Section 2. Funding for the contract extension is available in Fleet Parts, Account No. 600013-60310. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and 33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 34 ordinance.
