3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SMART AUTOMOTIVE GROUP, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED NINETY-THREE
6 THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED SIX DOLLARS ($193,906.00), PLUS
7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2)
8 FORD F-350 4X4 TRUCKS WITH DUMP BEDS FOR THE PUBLIC
9 WORKS DEPARTMENT STREET OPERATIONS DIVISION; AND FOR
10 OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department Street Operations Division has demonstrated a need to
13 purchase two(2) Ford F-350 4x4 Trucks with Dump Beds to replace aged, high maintenance units; and,
14 WHEREAS, vendor selection for two (2) Ford F-350 4x4 Trucks with Dump Beds, meeting the
15 specifications needed,was made through the Arkansas State Vehicle Contract, Item 28; and,
16 WHEREAS,the total purchase price for two (2) Ford F-350 4x4 Trucks with Dump Beds shall not
17 exceed One Ninety-Three Thousand, Nine Hundred Six Dollars ($193,906.00), plus applicable taxes and
18 fees.
19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an agreement with
22 Smart Automotive Group, for the purchase of two (2) Ford F-350 4x4 Trucks with Dump Beds, in an
23 amount not to exceed One Ninety-Three Thousand, Nine Hundred Six Dollars ($193,906.00), plus
24 applicable taxes and fees,for the Public Works Department Street Operations Division.
25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Public Works Vehicle and Equipment Special
26 Project,Account No. 205409-72300-S40B660.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
