3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP,
5 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIX MILLION, TWENTY-
6 FIVE THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY-FIVE DOLLARS
7 ($6,025,745.00), FOR STREET RESURFACING WITHIN THE CITY OF
8 LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,street resurfacing improvements are needed within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to
1 I maintain existing asphalt streets;and,
12 WHEREAS, the residents of the City of Little Rock approved a 2022 Bond Issue that provided
13 funding for these resurfacing improvements;and,
14 WHEREAS, Bid No. 2361 was issued for the 2024 Street Resurfacing Program, and of the two (2)
15 bids received, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., submitted the lowest and most responsible bid meeting
16 the specifications.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone
20 Construction Group, Inc., in an amount not to exceed Six Million, Twenty-Five Thousand, Seven
21 Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($6,025,745.00), which equals Five Million, Four Hundred Seventy-Seven
22 Thousand, Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars ($5,477,950.00), plus 10% contingency, for the 2024 Street
23 Resurfacing Program.
24 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 2022 Limited Tax Obligation Capital Information
25 Bonds.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
32 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
