To Whom It May Concern:
I, Charles B. Harris, a long time resident (28 years) of Twin Lakes B, am writing to
oppose the rezoning of the property at 1921 Kimberly Drive to a day care center. My
address is 9406 Labette Drive, located on the corner of Labette Drive and Kimberly
Drive. My property is directly across the street from 1921 Kimberly Drive.
I am sincerely concerned about preserving Twin Lakes B subdivision as a residential
zone and not a business zone. As an observer of the property (1921 Kimberly Drive)
over the past few weeks, I have noticed there is an inadequate parking area, resulting in
improperly parking (i.e., blocking sidewalk on Labette Drive, parking too close to the fire
hydrant, double parking, parking on both sides of Kimberly Drive. This causes
congestive traffic that is inconvenient to residents of Twin Lakes B. This also poses a
safety risk to school age children walking down Kimberly, which has no sidewalk, and
Labette Drive.
If this property (1921 Kimberly Drive) is rezoned for this day care, I think the
commission will be doing an injustice to our residential environment and bringing about
undue noise and excessive traffic.

To Whom It May Concern:
As commissioner of the Twin Lakes Improvement District, I wish to voice
my opposition to granting Mr. Robert Nichols a special use permit to allow
for the operation of a day care family home for ten children or less at 1921
Kimberly Street. This resident is at the corner of Kimberly and Labette and
would not accommodate the increase in traffic on both Kimberly and
Labette.
The increase in traffic would create a very hazardous condition for the many
children and grand children that play in the street because of a like of side
walks on Kimberly Drive. This is also the route to the recreational area that
is travel daily by our children/grandchildren. Neither Kimberly nor Labette
has speed bumps to slow the traffic. This problem is compounded by visitors
parking on both sides of the street at this resident. Please consider also that
the corner of Kimberly and Labette is a bus stop and several children exit the
bus at this location.
Thank you for your consideration of a denial of this Special use Permit to
keep our children safe. If you have any questions regarding this request, I
